Frequently Asked Questions about the X-Road Technology Partner program

  • This means either:

Number of core development projects (public procurements of X-Road 6 core development) or

Contributions submitted to the X-Road core master repository maintained by NIIS, RIA or VRK.

X-Road software core is located at https://github.com/nordic-institute/X-Road (and used to be located at https://github.com/ria-ee/X-Road and https://github.com/vrk-kpa/X-Road before).

X-Road core development means modifying the source code of the X-Road core components (Central Server, Configuration Proxy, Security Server) at the public X-Road master repository.

X-Road protocol-based (API / Adapter server and services) development means developing an external component not part of the X-Road core that uses X-Road Message Protocol for SOAP or X-Road Message Protocol for REST to send or receive a message to/from X-Road Security Server.

  • A core development project or contribution must contain at least one git commit that includes changes to the source code of the X-Road core (Central Server, Configuration Proxy, Security Server). The contributions must fulfil the acceptance criteria for contributions.

  • The developers should have experience in working on X-Road 6. Both X-Road core development and X-Road protocol-based development (service integrations) are considered qualified experience.

  • This should be the number of developers with experience in X-Road 6 permanently employed by the partner company. Of course, the persons could change time by time, but this is the number we expect to remain.

  • If we have any questions or concerns about the numbers, we may contact the company and ask for clarification. If a company provides us with false information, we may terminate their participation in the program.

  • X-Road production environment means deployment of a full X-Road environment (Central Server(s), Configuration Proxy(s) (optional), Security Servers) that is used to exchange real data for production purposes. Production purposes mean that the exchanged data is used in X-Road member organisations’ business processes.

  • If we have any questions or concerns about the given numbers, we may turn to the company and ask for clarification. If a company provides us with false information, we may terminate their participation in the program.
